An EXTRA {also known as BACKGROUND, ATMOSPHERE or NON-PRINCIPAL performer} is anyone who fills out the background scene.
Extras are used in of a movies, television shows, videos or commercials shot. You It could be a concert-goer at a rock concert crowd. One of the non-specific apes in Planet of the Apes, or a person on the street passing by the main actors or action. Or you could be a specific character such as a doctor in the emergency room, a lawyer in a packed courtroom, a policeman at a grisly crime scene, a news reporter at a Presidential press conference, or just a face in thea huge crowd at the Super Bowl. As an EXTRA, it is your job to make the scenes being filmed, look as natural and as lifelike as possible.
