About the Golden Globes

Presented each year by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Globes recognize the best in TV and Film as voted on by Foreign critics based in LA. The awards are often a predictor of Oscar voting as the Globes generally take place only a couple months before. This is also the show celebrities generally enjoy the most as it is the only show with drink service to their seats. No "seat-fillers" are used and people generally walk around mingling during the show. Bleacher seats for the red carpet are available in limited supply and only to guests of the Beverly Hilton where the show is held.
